In 10 days time almost a thousand physicists will be in Kobe, Japan for what is for many the conference event of the year – Quark Matter 2015 (QM2015). As supporters of this community JPhysG will be there. All are welcome to come by our stand- we’d love to meet you and hear about your work.
The Quark Matter series is the biggest global event in the field of relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions. Researchers will be presenting the latest developments in the physics of strongly interacting matter; with talks on relativistic heavy-ion physics, the quark-gluon plasma, the science of super-dense stars and a great deal more.
A week of talks kicks off with teaser presentations from the major experimental collaborations in the field: ALICE, ATLAS, CMS, PHENIX and STAR. Later in the week we’ll hear the details, and we look forward to seeing what exciting announcements there are to come.
In traditional Quark Matter fashion the organisers are doing an outstanding job, with a great program lined up and numerous social events and excursions. Here’s a bit more information about the event, and we look forward to seeing you there.
