Transition metal dichalcogenides: the next-generation 2D semiconductors

Read moreSince the discovery of graphene, research into 2D materials has diversified to a large number of other monolayer materials. One of these is a group of materials known as transition metal dichalcogenides.

A new special issue available from JPCM highlights the novel phenomena of these materials and their potential in electronic devices as a possible replacement for silicon. The Guest Editors Professor Gwan-Hyoung Lee, Yonsei University and Dr Dezheng Sun, Stanford Univeristy hope the issue further ignites research into TMDs, and that their full potential in real applications can be realised.

The special issue will continue to update as more papers are published so keep checking back for the latest research into these exciting materials.
