IOP Publishing has recently announced its partnership with Editage to provide a new service to authors working in all disciplines within the physical sciences and engineering, including all topics covered by the JPhys series and all other IOP Publishing journals.
IOP Editing Services will provide manuscript services such as English-language editing, translation, plagiarism checks and technical reviews. The services will be available to all authors, regardless of where they wish to publish. A range of pricing and timescale options will ensure that authors can choose the level of assistance that best suits their needs.
Editage, the team behind the service, comprises experts in the field and they provide a guarantee that manuscripts will meet the language and formatting requirements for journal publication.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Editage to provide these new services,” explained Marc Gillett, Associate Director, Publishing Operations, at IOP Publishing. He continued: “Excellent science can often be held back by poor formatting or language barriers. Our new service will help authors feel confident when submitting their manuscripts, leading to high-quality scientific papers and world-class published research.”
Donald Samulack, President, US Operations at Editage went on to state, “Readability, comprehension, and scholarly value go hand-in-hand. At Editage, we pay very close attention to the subject matter of a manuscript, and make it our mission to support the author through a variety of services geared at optimizing the potential of publication success. We feel that a well-written, well-edited paper can lead to the acceleration of scientific progress, and we strive toward that goal.”
