How our ebooks are leading the way in digital publishing

Last year we featured a post about the high life of technology where we spoke to David Ferry about his just released ebook ‘Transport in Semiconducting Mesoscopic Devices’. This was our first ebook to feature multimedia figures, with several high-quality videos published throughout.

The evolution of device use has driven us to provide our books in various different formats (HTML, ePub3, PDF, Mobi) to afford the user maximum choice when reading our ebooks – and this means our readers can read the book the way they want to, on the device they want to, and now view embedded video content within these as standard.

We are the first Scientific Publisher to fully embed video content into our HTML and ePub3 format ebooks. The development makes for a truly enhanced reader experience, and showcases some of the best features of modern digital format publishing.

This of course is only the first in a long line of exciting developments that we have planned for ebooks within 2016 so watch this space, 2016 is shaping up to be a big year!
