This year we are proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Journal of Physics series. The JPhys journals are some of the most authoritative and internationally recognized in the world, and have published some truly revolutionary physics along the way.
We have compiled a collection of viewpoints looking back over the past 50 years of the JPhys series, highlighting a selection of important papers published from across the journals.
We commissioned these commentaries from respected researchers and asked them to explain why the papers are significant and discuss the impact they have had, and continue to have, on their field.
The viewpoints and original articles are free to read for the rest of the year, including an introduction by Sir John Enderby.
We hope you enjoy reading them as much as us!
